{"id":763,"date":"2025-12-24T12:21:59","date_gmt":"2025-12-24T12:21:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/roman-mithras.hu\/?p=763"},"modified":"2025-12-24T12:28:21","modified_gmt":"2025-12-24T12:28:21","slug":"new-study-on-the-cult-of-mithras-in-aquincum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roman-mithras.hu\/?p=763","title":{"rendered":"New study on the cult of Mithras in Aquincum"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Several members of the research group published a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.academia.edu\/145549373\/Archaeology_of_Mithras_in_Aquincum_Sanctuaries_and_Materiality_of_a_Roman_Cult\">detailed synthesis on the cult of Mithras in Aquincum <\/a>in the latest number of the journal of the Romanian National Museum (Cercetari Arheologice) . As one of the richest urban settlements in Mithraic finds in the Danubian provinces, Aquincum represents a central case study of our research group together with several other major urban centres, such as Apulum, Sarmizegetusa, Poetovio and Carnuntum.
